PART III - FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

Section 12
Paragraph (iv)

Why "fundamental human rights" and not simply "human rights" as elsewhere throughout the text of the Constitution.

Paragraph (vi)

"uphold the Constitution" to read "uphold this Constitution"

Section 13
Paragraph (a) (i)

"Malawian Society" and not "Malawians society"

Paragraph (k)

"the rule of law"and not "the rule law"

Paragraph (o)

"effectiveness and visibility" and not "effectiveness and transparency"

Note:

In the original draft the intended word was"visibility" but this was misspelt as "visibly" and the draftsman wrongly corrected it to read transparency (the popular word at the time). Visibility is stronger than transparency and that is what was intended.
