Conservation and Document Restoration Services

This Section is responsible for the protection and restoration of documents, enhancing the life span of documents against any form of deterioration and damage. It fulfils its functions through the provision of bindery services, document repairing, microfilming, photo processing, amongst other activities. 

The Conservation Unit also provides advisory service to all the Sections within the National Archives as well as other institutions on the ideal temperature and weather conditions for the storage of records and other archival materials.
